The production of post-consumer PP granules begins with the collection of flexible and rigid packaging that is selected during the sorting of domestic waste.
Packaging is split up into types and by characteristics, ground, washed, densified and granulated.
This last phase allows for the creation of granule types with different characteristics according to the input issued to the two screw extruders.
Specifically, PP/PE compounds are produced with different PP percentages, from 15% to 90%, with the possibility of adding mineral compounds with CaCO3 or talc in standard solutions.
Furthermore, a family of PP granules with better technical features, with reduced odour and a wide range of dark colours.
