The plastic crawl space is an element made of recycled material deriving from post-consumer plastic waste and industrial waste.
The use of recycled materials allows for significant savings in emissions, just think that for every kg of recycled plastic, 1.5 kg of CO2 are saved.
It is used for the construction of raised floors under which pipes or service systems for the building must pass, to distance the floor from the ground in case of rising damp, as an insulating element on horizontal roofs and as an element of separation between the ground of the foundation and the vertical walls of the building.
For the construction of horizontal floors, it is generally laid on a concrete substrate of variable thickness depending on the application. After laying a suitable electro-welded mesh, proceeding with the concrete casting, many pillars are formed which, once the concrete has cured, determine the effective resistance of the floor, with the distribution of loads evenly over the entire surface.
The installation of the recycled plastic element constitutes a sanitary vacuum with an adequate vapor barrier for the floor and, suitably ventilated through pipes connected to the outside, a vehicle for the disposal of Radon gas.
The modular product is formed by a spherical shell shape, this feature allows the structure to work in an arc, (concrete compression only) allowing for maximum mechanical strength with minimum concrete thickness, ensuring considerable savings in materials.
